IS THERE A NEED TO DISRUPT THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM?

For over one year, I have been making the statement that I would disrupt the educational system in Africa although I have not really announced it so loud here on facebook.

However, to an extent, a few people know that I have been working on this for long with researches, enquiries, critical thinking and other forms of preparation put in. So if you're new to my space, that is my mission.

Now, to the main topic, "is it really necessary to disrupt the educational system, I mean why try to change the status quo people are not complaining, everybody will be fine in the end, or don't you know people will eventually figure out their lives?" That's what I get everytime I tell people I want to disrupt this space.

I wrote an article sometimes ago on the topic "SHOULDN'T WE ADDRESS THE SCHOOL SYSTEM, IS THIS PILL WORKING FOR US"…I would want you to check it out through the link to get some insights.

Now back to he criticisms I faced. The fact with humans is that when something is totally wrong in the society and people are really hurt, dying and all, if they do not have a large part of the suffering, they feel it should be left that way.

What I simply mean is that, if there's a huge tree on the side of the road and it falls off obstructing the road, if someone makes a move to remove the tree from the road, there would be some people who would object just because one way or the other they can still find their way despite the block.

Those people are not friends with the society, you would feel they make all he sense by advising you not to cause a change or disrupt a space but we all know it's against the good of the major.

So what exactly is wrong with the educational system?

Well, for the sake of many, I will address this from different angles but if you are in the University already and you agree there is nothing wrong with the educational system, then perhaps you are a very distracted person or someone who doesn't care about good things.

When I say university, I am not just referring to public universities, the private universities are included. I am going to analyze the problem down to the root and mind you, each post I would make would be a continuation of the previous one. I earlier said weeks ago that I would begin a series on education.

Before we go too far, let us look at the unemployment rate in Nigeria alone. According to Nigeria bureau de statistics, the last quarter of 2018 recorded over 13 million unemployed people. I didn't say thirteen thousand. I said a million people in thirteen places. That is too huge to have such in a nation.

Fine, we are over 190 million but this doesn't mean this number isn't significant, matter of fact, it is over significant. We still have the underemployed but let's not talk about that.

Now the big question pops up; How does unemployment relate with education?

Are you for real? How does unemployment relate with education. If you ask this question, it is either you are ignorant or you just want to be funny. This is not a question to ask. Anyways, I will talk about this in my next post.

I have seen so many people blame the government for unemployment. They blame the government alone for not providing jobs. The big question I would ask you, if the government creates 50 million jobs today in Nigeria, would it solve unemployment within five years?

To be continued.... Watch out and share with friends... This would be a long discussion. Give your comments before I write on the next topic.
